The Beat goes on in San Francisco's North Beach. San Francisco's The Beat Museum partners with Grey San Francisco on advertising effort.

San Francisco, CA - November 26, 2007. The Beat Museum has selected Grey San Francisco to create an integrated campaign to raise awareness about San Francisco's newest museum—The Beat Museum.

"I think it's important that people know these folks didn't just influence literature, they influenced an entire generation," says Jerry Cimino. "While most Americans were living in fear, these people encouraged us all to think differently. It's funny, the Beat movement happened over 50 years ago, yet their attitudes still apply today—maybe even more than they did back then."

"This isn't an ad campaign, it's a history lesson," said Brian Clevenger, Grey San Francisco's Creative Director. "Getting to work on something as important as the Beat movement is truly an honor. I don't think there's a writer out there that hasn't been influenced by Kerouac's work."

The advertising campaign, which is scheduled to launch the week of November 26, will include posters, print ads, and bus shelters. GreySF is also in development on a Web site and additional marketing materials.
