I am sitting in a Chinese restaurant
That thas been in business at this location
For as long as I can remember
Thirty years ago I used to come here
After work on Friday nights
Too tired to go home and cook
A humble bachelor's meal
I sat at this same table
Looked out the same window
At pretty much the same things
Cars trucks people in the neighborhood
The same family has owned the business
Since forever it seems
I am greeted by the same woman
Every time I come here
She never changes never seems to age

I used to date a waitress I met
In this restaurant back then
Her breasts would wink at me
From beneath her thin blouse
When she took my order I
Often forgot how hungry I was
I would wait for her to get off work
Then we would go to a late movie
Go to her place and make love
Eat leftover Chinese food
And make it again

Before my wife and I got married
We used to sit at this same table
Friday nights were our tradition
Too tired after work to go home
Cook a meal for two
Later when we had our daughter
We would come to this restaurant
Because the owners were tolerant
Of small children and because
The food was good and plentiful
It fit our budget
Was within walking distance of home
When we had our second child a son
We came here sat at this same table
The woman greeted my family warmly
We all grew up together
Eating Chinese food

The children soon became teenagers
Decided they preferred the pizza joint
Down the street where they didn't
Have to eat with mom and dad
Stuffy traditionalists who took pride in their kids
They could meet up with their friends
Practice the art of growing up in America
The wife too outgrew the Chinese restaurant
Preferring now the new organic/vegan places
In the neighborhood her new friends
Over her stuffy traditionalist husband who
In the end was boring and tiresome
Compared to her tattooed and pierced
Acquaintances older women trying
To be young desiring to attract
Exciting younger men

I still come here often
No longer just on Fridays
Sometimes Tuesdays Wednesdays
Whenever I don't feel like eating
A microwave meal for one
The food is still good and plentiful
The young waitresses are still friendly
Their breasts still wink suggestively
From beneath thin blouses
When they take my order they
Sometimes display a new piercing
Or tattoo when the owner is not looking
They bed over to show lovely behinds
As they wipe tables near mine
Smile knowingly over their shoulders
In my direction
I tip them appropriately
Go home with waitress fantasies
And a full belly

Requital
Respond to an action with a counter-action...
To a kiss with a counter-kiss
- Kamasutra 2:3.32

I
softly
tenderly I
offer moist lips to your
breasts, and there I lie in stillness...
infinite moment of intimacy;
my fingers slipping into your
venereal darkness;
my mouth finds you
softly.

II
softly
my mouth kisses
your eyes, tracing every
feature with my lips; finger tips
skip lightly on your chest smooth and hairless...
grazing in the downy meadow
of your thighs I call out
to Priapus
softly.

Practice

Say your prayers
Balance the body
Calm your mind
Listen inside
Project outward
Be kind and gentle
Don't hold a grudge
Open to possibilities
Move with the Tao
Eat fruits and vegetables
Be thankful for their energy
Let the animals live
Be silent at dawn and dusk
Be honest with the sun
Laugh at everything
Let go of the world
Love each other
Have patience and pure intention
Look at the flowers
Drink red wine
Forget the naïve
Show them the light
Kiss the children
Cradle the old
Hold no assumptions
Swim in the ocean
Learn all there is
Forget all there is not
Lay quiet and peaceful
Speak of virtue and truth
Be humble and smile
Keep hope alive
Play beautiful music
Dance all of your days
Wear the right gems
Allow seeds to grow
Paint harmonious pictures
Write many poems
See all the places
Meet all the people
Help when you can
Don't worry if you can't
Live for today
Plan for tomorrow
I love you so much
